Scott Haag
Team #10 — Team Understeer
For Scott Haag, motoring is in his blood. He believes that "it's just part of my DNA." And it's easy to see why. Scott's parents weren't "mini van people." They were huge into automobiles and modification. Scott's dad was especially into dirt bikes and off-roading. Not to be outdone, Scott's mom had one of the top muscle cars ever produced – a 1972 Pontiac GTO (455 HO). One of Scott's most memorable driving experiences was taking that car for a spin with his dad when he was just 14. And he remembers going to drag races and mud bogs, and just trail riding. Scott says that he was speechless for a week or so when he heard that he was chosen to participate in this event. "I thought I was being 'punked!' " He believes he has a lot to bring to the competition, including "the sheer enjoyment of driving anything with wheels, the way it was built to be driven."
